Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Principal's message
Welcome to Carramar Public School, part of the Auburn Network, with about 230 students. Our spacious grounds and modern classrooms provide a calm and supportive environment for learning.
Our diverse community includes around 85% of students from language backgrounds other than English, new arrival and refugee students, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. We are committed to creating an inclusive place where every child feels valued and cared for. Wellbeing is our focus.
Our values—Safe, Respectful, and Responsible—are core to our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program and school culture. Staff engage in ongoing professional learning, including trauma-informed practices, to support all students’ wellbeing.
With two Assistant Principals and two APCIs, we use data-driven teaching, especially in literacy and numeracy, with targeted support to develop confident, independent learners from Kindergarten to Year 6. Community connections are key. Supported by a Community Liaison Officer, we offer programs like Breakfast Club and Parent Cooking Club to involve families and enrich student experiences. We also work hard to minimise financial barriers so all students can participate fully in school life.
I am proud to lead this close-knit, achievement-focused school. Thank you for visiting our website—we look forward to welcoming you to Carramar Public School.
Regards,
Anthony Mazzitelli- JP
