Community involvement
Our Community Liaison Officer (CLO), Michelle Zacherl, works closely with the parents, teachers and students to develop effective partnerships that enable students to pursue successful educational and vocational pathways.
Michelle Zacherl works on Monday and Tuesday and works in partnership with communities, government and non-government agencies to ensure students and their families have access to appropriate services and programs. Interpretation and translation to assist the communication between schools and families, is also crucial to her role.
Get involved!
Information regarding these events is often posted in our School Newsletter and Facebook page. Alternatively, Ms Michelle enjoys chatting with our lovely parents and carers, so please stop and say hi when you see her around.
Parent Workshops
On select Mondays and Tuesdays during the term, parents are invited to join engaging workshops at school. These sessions offer a great opportunity to learn new skills, connect with other parents, and have fun. Be sure to check ClassDojo regularly for details on upcoming workshops and how to get involved!
Playgroup
Playgroup is a program offered on a Tuesday and is designed for babies and children up to 5 years of age and their parents. It is a great place for mums, dads and carers to meet other parents and enjoy interacting with other children through music, craft activities, games and stories.
Parent Helper Morning Tea
At the end of each year, we host a Parent Helper Morning Tea to warmly thank all the parents who have generously contributed their time and support throughout the year. It’s a special occasion to show our appreciation for their invaluable help in making our school community thrive.
Parent Workshops
Each year our school runs parent workshops in partnership with our teachers and community providers such as Woodville Alliance, Catholic Care and Anglicare. These workshops are for parents to support your child’s needs and learning at school and in the home environment.
